Staff Adjuster
Columbia Insurance Group seeks a Staff Adjuster to join our amazing team in Salina, KS! The Staff Adjuster will investigate, adjust and resolve claims.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES
Investigate, inspect and estimate losses as claimed by insureds; includes determining contractual coverage and negotiating settlements for in-house and field claims.
Maintain necessary reports and files to insure prompt and efficient disposition (settlement/denial) of claims.
Serve as liaison with agents; assist in problem resolution and claims filing.
Maintain current technical knowledge of claims procedures and company policies, procedures and philosophy.
Serve as member of special storm team when necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree.
Minimum of 3 years multi-line adjusting experience.
A thorough knowledge of commercial lines products and coverages.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred:
Supplemental insurance education / designations.
Prior casualty claims adjusting experience.
EOEEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
