We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Armed Security Officer to join our team.
As an Armed Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, their employees, and their properties.
This position requires strong surveillance skills, conflict management abilities, and a background in law enforcement or military.
This position will primarily consist of mobile patrol duties within the city limits of Salina, KS but may include static site postings from time to time.
Duties:
- Patrol assigned areas - Respond to alarms and other security threats - Conduct regular security checks of assigned assets and properties - Respond to emergencies and provide assistance as needed - Enforce assigned policies and procedures - Investigate incidents and complete detailed reports - Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary - Provide excellent customer service
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid armed security officer license/certificate for City of Salina or obtain within 14 days of being employed - Valid Kansas drivers license with no at fault accidents, no DUI's within last 5 years, and not more than 3 moving violations within last 2 years.
- Previous experience in law enforcement, military, or security preferred - Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and security procedures - Ability to handle conflicts and difficult situations calmly and professionally - CPR and First Aid certification required (will train and certify) - Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security equipment - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Disqualificatoins:
- Canceled, suspended, or revoked drivers license status - Felony convictions - Certain misdemeanor convictions - Any crimes against persons convictions - Narcotics violations convictions within the last 10 years - Active (or within last 5 years) protection from stalking or abuse orders where you are named as the agressor, accused, or defendant - Any other violations which prevent you from carrying a firearm
