gov This position works under the supervision of the Recreation Superintendent of Athletics and/or program supervisor Duties Officiates youth & adult sports programs for a variety of sports including baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, & kickball Ensures participation safety by having a strong knowledge of rules, policies & procedures as well as proper field set up & game management Manage conflicts & resolutions between other umpires & coaches/parents Demonstrates, assists, & informs instructions of the rules of a particular sport to participants Develop problem solving & confrontation management skills Thoroughly completes accident, incident, & other reports as necessary Administers basic first aid, if needed Responds in emergency situations within scope of training Performs other job-related duties as assigned EducationEighth grade graduate CPR & First Aid certifications desired Experience Must attend officials training/clinic sponsored by Salina Parks & Recreation Department and/or be certified in the specific sport prior to the league season Must have the ability to work indoors & outdoors Requirements This is a non-driving position; 14 years of age or older.
Pay $14.
00-$36.
