Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Manufacturing Engineering Manager Great Plains Manufacturing is seeking a dynamic leader to join our team as aManufacturing Engineering Manager.
In this position, you will help develop and implement strategies through collaboration to facilitate efficient manufacturing processes across the organization.
This may involve factory layouts, design for manufacturing opportunities, support with new product introductions, equipment improvements, etc.
You will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of manufacturing engineers across multiple facilities to drive positive change.
Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
Strong management and leadership skills to continue developing a safe and rewarding workplace for the team Mentor and develop team members in current job responsibilities to drive progress Further develop our continuous improvement culture by leading hands on projects to help transfer knowledge and skills to our team members Determine feasibility and cost effectiveness for projects Develop action plans and timelines to provide visibility and status updates on projects Coordinate and collaborate with upper management to align with overall company goals Prioritize and drive projects according to business objectives Proactively identify and appropriately scope areas of opportunities Analyze our current manufacturing processes and implement new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and affect greater utilization of labor and materials Preform analysis and present opportunities and results with facts/data Day travel up to 50% through central Kansas Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
Preferred Skills and
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 3 years' experience Experience in leading lean manufacturing initiatives across cross functional teams Strong leadership and management experience in an engineering role is a plus Act as role model, verbally and behaviorally demonstrating skill, enthusiasm, positive problem solving, and commitment to the organization Active listener and strong effective communicator Proficiency with CAD tools Strong background in capital assets justification and approval Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) Agriculture, Construction or Heavy equipment manufacturing experience preferred At Great Plains Manufacturing, our people make the difference, making our company a great place to work and grow.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
