front lobby, restrooms, front office spaces, training rooms, and break room; and the following jail areas:
control rooms, offices, break rooms, and restrooms not accessible by inmate workers.
Provide custodial services on a regularly scheduled basis for Community Corrections, Human Resources Department, and on an as needed basis at the Health Department.
Custodial duties include Keeping supplies stocked in restrooms.
Scrub and disinfect toilets, floors, all fixtures and drinking fountains daily.
Wash walls, toilet partitions and clean mirrors.
Responsible for dusting desks, shelves, file cabinets, countertops, ceiling fans, chairs and furniture as needed.
Regularly clean doorknobs, handles, countertops, doors, window ledges, windows inside and outside, blinds and drinking fountains.
Sweep all rooms and halls daily.
Vacuum floor in high traffic areas daily and those in low traffic areas on a regular schedule.
Clean break rooms and restrooms daily.
May be directed to assist with maintenance and cleaning of surrounding grounds, including snow removal and other emergency events.
Snow and emergency events could also include before and after regular business hours and weekends.
Refinish floors.
Operate equipment and flooring machines.
Set up and take down tables and chairs for meetings as required.
Maintain records and report any problems and supply needs to Manager of Facilities and Maintenance.
Assist Manager of Facilities and Maintenance with minor repairs including plumbing repairs, replace burnt-out light bulbs, replace damaged or missing ceiling tiles, prep, and paint over graffiti, change air filters, and any other maintenance task as needed by staff.
Assist Manager of Facilities and Maintenance with general labor and grounds maintenance duties including mowing grass, lawn edging, weed removal, tree pruning and planting/removal, upkeep of lawn sprinkler system cleaning and trash disposal.
Winter duties include plowing and clearing sidewalks and parking lots of snow and ice.
Perform all duties in a safe manner and follow all County safety policies and regulations, wear appropriate protective equipment, and ensure the inmate workers are following safety precautions.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age.
Must have a High School diploma or the equivalent.
Must have a valid Driver License and be insurable under Saline County fleet insurance policy.
(If from out-of-State must obtain a Kansas Drivers License within the required 90 days.
) Must have formal training or a proven working knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures in plumbing, electronic and facility maintenance systems.
Must have a working knowledge of computers and record-keeping procedures.
Must possess excellent communication skills with ability to listen to information, follow instructions, analyze facts, make sound judgments when performing the duties associated with the position as well as provide clear and sound communications/instructions when supervising inmate workers.
Become CPR, AED and First Aid certified within six (6) months of date of hire.
Requires working in all environments and weather conditions.
No felony or domestic violence convictions including diversions and expungements.
Serious misdemeanor convictions will be evaluated including diversions and expungements.
Physical Requirements Determined Work Level:
Level 4 - Heavy Work The applicant must attain a 3.
5 score or above on their physical capacity profile.
Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
Possess eye/hand/foot coordination sufficient to drive vehicle.
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds.
Must have fine and gross manual dexterity to operate hand tools and equipment necessary to perform general labor duties.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
