October 2, 2023 - Interviews will be conducted in October Great Plains Manufacturing has partnered with Kansas State University Salina Aerospace and Technology to create a new GPM Scholars Program! GPM Scholars will achieve a Bachelor of Science Degree with limited student debt, over 2,400 hours of professional experience, and earn additional money with part-time benefits while in college.
College Students will participate in on-the-job training to learn a variety of manufacturing areas including:
Assembly of Products Weld Robot Operation and Automation Weld Robot Programming, new Product Design Layout, Product Flow, Troubleshooting, and Leadership Training GPM Scholar Students Will Also Earn:
$9,900 annual scholarship for their tuition, awarded by K-State Salina $10.
00 per hour, plus part-time benefits while working at least 20 hours per week at Great Plains Manufacturing, starting in January 2024.
Eligible Candidates:
Enrolled or accepted as a Full-Time K-State Salina Student (at least 12 credit hours per semester) in an Engineering or Manufacturing program Eligible degrees include:
Mechanical Engineering Technology, Robotics, Automation Engineering Technology, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering Technology, and other related degrees Available to work in a production role at least 20 hours per week throughout the year at Great Plains Mfg.
in Salina, KS, in addition to coursework Available to attend classes year-round in order to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in just 3 years Have a high school or college GPA of 2.
8 or higher; Must maintain GPA throughout the program to remain eligible for the scholarship Able to provide at least one letter of recommendation from a current high school teacher or K-State Salina college professor Apply online in ADP using the GP Scholars Program Link to the Manufacturing Apprentice application at WorkForGPM.
