Understanding of how to operate a wide variety of power and hand tools.
Ability to troubleshoot basic emergency maintenance issues.
Understanding of the use of maintenance/janitorial chemicals and safety procedures for their use.
Flexible to changing situations, staff and persons.
Independent discretion/decision making within the scope and responsibility of the position.
Handles multiple priorities.
Manages emotions and is able to make decision under pressure.
Manages stress appropriately.
Works alone effectively.
Works effectively in close proximity to others and/or in a distracting environment.

Keeps all equipment in safe working condition.
Ensures driveways, sidewalks and common areas are free of debris.
Maintains all facility maintenance and grounds.
Conducts inventory of all maintenance and cleaning supplies and submits list to the Director of Maintenance.
Maintains utility closets and keeps them free of debris and clutter.
Reports unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management and safety channels.
Is knowledgeable of and follows all safety procedures.
Implements SFM policies and follows directives as required.
Follows and adheres to all pertinent SFM Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), rules, personnel policies and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state and local rules, statutes, regulations, and all term of the contracts.
Requirements High School Diploma/GED Must be 21 years of age.
Must pass a drug screen, MVR, and Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry clearance check; must pass a background check Lifting Requirements of 75 lbs.
Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record 2 years or more related experience.
