Provides information and directs callers and visitors to the appropriate staff or resources.
Maintains scheduling and provides technical assistance for the set-up of conference rooms.
Assists with monitoring security cameras and alerts management if first responders are needed.
Maintains a tidy administration area.
Provides basic computer and printer maintenance and support as needed.
Research costs and specifications of proposed equipment as needed.
Provides Child Care Licensing Program Assistance.
Tasks include assisting with Child Care social media, going on site visits as support staff, making follow-up calls, assembling packets, maintaining accurate files and data, preparing notebooks, and assisting with newsletter development.
Provides Ryan White Program Assistance.
Runs and maintains client list in SCOUT.
Assist with KU Outreach Clinics as scheduled.
Provides Child Care Licensing Program Assistance.
Provides general assistance to Health Education, MCH, Home Health and Clinic Reviews daily news for mentions of the health department.
Collects articles and pictures of health department events into scrapbooks.
Collects the oral history and tradition of the health department.
Minimum Qualifications 1.
Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent.
2.
Must possess basic computer knowledge and Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and Power Point.
3.
Must have an ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
4.
Must possess good communication skills to work with staff and public in a congenial manner.
5.
Must have a proven ability to plan and organize work.
6.
Must be highly flexible and be able to accommodate changing needs of management and/or administration.
7.
Must be able to operate a multi-line phone system.
8.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements Determined Work Level:
Level 2 - Light Work Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
Required walking or standing to a significant degree or requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls.
Ability to communicate ideas by the spoken word.
Must be able to give directions and greet people at the counter and on the phone.
Must have fine and gross manual dexterity to operate computer, typewriter, fax machine and copier.
May have possible exposure to infectious pathogens, blood, body fluids or hazardous waste.
